The 2008 Democratic Convention is
coming to Denver Aug. 25-28. And the impact
will be felt throughout the region as thousands of
delegates, media, politicos and VIPs descend on
the Front Range for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
The convention will draw 6,000 delegates rallying
for four days inside the Pepsi Center, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg …
The DNC will attract 50,000 total visitors – including 15,000 domestic and international media – many arriving before or staying after official activities.
Major national media outlets will be turning to The Post and Rocky for local and human interest stories, general information, and more.
The convention is expected to generate at least $160 million in economic impact.
There will be an estimated 1,500 events surrounding the convention,
including more than 100 parties and functions on opening night alone.
